Find information about some old start-up that have disappeared today with googlebooks
As part of my addiction to the web, yesterday, I had my special day of computer nostalgia. I dug through googlebooks to find information about some old start-up that have disappeared today (or almost disappeared). I found the best information by searching exclusively on magazines. I set up the advanced search with “full view only” and “Magazines” parameters. (see screenshot below)
For the exercise I typed altavista inpublisher:infoworld to find all the exciting old news about my former favorite search engine “Altavista”
On the French side, there is less choice. I could only find one online magazine Mobile Magazine, but what a pleasure to find information about Kobby, Tam Tam and Tattoo. These 3 companies were Paging companies which never took off in France.
