Why starting a successfull blog is so hard?

Hello, since I started to write this blog in English, I must confessed that I am a little bit disappointed. Although the first goal of this blog is to improve my English, I wish I could have some traffic coming from at least the beloved google search engine. Well, if I look at my stats, it is just had 206 visits and 305 pages views! But I guess that the 22 visits from Brazil are mines! So that shrinks the statistics to almost seven visits a day! At the time I am writing this blog post, I know perfectly well that at most, three readers will start reading it, and may be one will read it entirely. So let me tell you why this blog is not as...

A bit of cynicism does not hurt, especially when it’s virtual. Here are two webapps that are used to calculate the radius of an atomic bomb impact that could fall near your home. For the first application: select a place to nuke and then select the type of bomb and nuke it. Several types of bombs: Litle boy of 15 Kt bomb does nuke you and around a small 1 km radius, but the 50 mega tons Tsar bomb destroys everything in a radius of 50 km. You can use (among others) websitelooker Websitelooker.com/www/roget.biz . I can see that the French version of this blog was created 284 days ago! So it’s not so fresh ! Delicious Another more pragmatic technique is to check when an url has been bookmarked for the first time. I do that on...
Find information about some old start-up that have...

As part of my addiction to the web, yesterday, I had my special day of computer nostalgia. I dug through googlebooks to find information about some old start-up that have disappeared today (or almost disappeared). I found the best information by searching exclusively on magazines. I set up the advanced search with “full view only” and “Magazines” parameters. (see screenshot below) For the exercise I typed altavista inpublisher:infoworld to find all the exciting old news about my former favorite search engine “Altavista” On the French side, there is less choice. I could only find one online...
